Here at CPX Ltd we have strong links with a number of independent
GP’s and GP groups, providing skilled cardiopulmonary assessment for their
patients. Essentially, GP’s primarily refer patients to our testing centre
for the following reasons:
- In order to help their patient’s understand
and quantify their cardiopulmonary risk prior to surgery
- To distinguish between
cardiac and pulmonary limitation as a cause of exercise induced dyspnea or
impairment
- As a screening test for the presence of early cardiopulmonary
disease
Most of the patient test results are distributed within 24 hours of the CPX
assessment, however it is advisable to allow 48 hours to receive your patient’s
report.
We understand that in some clinical situations, an urgent
report may be needed. If you require an urgent report, please let us know at
the time of booking so that we can accommodate your request.
